Some posters on the Blu-ray.com forum do believe that 4K UHD discs are more susceptible to being scratched than their Blu-ray counterparts. I don't have the UHD format myself, so I have no personal knowledge of that.

Well, my new Amazon street date for ABYSS is March 18. Seems like different Amazon customers are receiving different street dates for it. Did Disney (or Amazon) underestimate the demand?

Todd Erwin, I do have preorders with Amazon and Diabolik for THE ABYSS. Neither has shipped. Amazon hasn't yet charged me for it.

Amazon just emailed me that THE ABYSS has been delayed until March 18. Also, it doesn't appear that Diabolik or Atomic Movie Store have it in stock, either. Should I assume that WalMart is more powerful, or better organized, than Amazon?

I have preordered two copies, one from Amazon and one from Diabolik. Neither has shipped out as of yet, although Amazon states that my copy will arrive on Tuesday, March 12th. We'll see.
