I can understand this to an extent, and I know the books are so huge that they're rather intimidating (to me, anyway). But I'd think if you enjoy the world-building, characters, and story, that you would want to experience the creator's original vision, rather than simply the variation created...
I agree. Martin seems to have little interest in finishing the series. He has too many other projects that he's more interested in working on right now, and I expect he'll pass on before he finishes the Thrones series.
Fox/Disney must be happy that Sophie Turner is stirring the pot just before Dark Phoenix hits theaters:

I believe that was the episode that many complained was shot so darkly you could hardly see anything.
Not sure if that's on the director or the cinematographer.
I could live with that, since I think Tyrion would be a decent King. But I'm not sure any scenario that ends with a Lannister on the Iron Throne would sit well with many GOT fans.
I'm thinking one of the Starks, since that's where we first started the journey.
I'd like it to be Tyrion. Cersei has hated Tyrion his entire life and tried to kill him multiple times. I'd love to see him take her down in spectacular fashion.
It's one thing if it's something in the background or in the distance that's somewhat out of the control of the crew, but this is right in the middle of the shot, sitting right in front of a major character.
Hard to believe no one picked it up, given all the eyes that are on the footage before...
Yeah, Martin seems like kind of a jackass, working on anything and everything in sight except finishing the series his fans want him to finish. I imagine he'll kick the bucket before he finishes writing the series.
