    But it sounds like folks having issues have watched many other discs in these formats without problems. Something seems to be different with this disc.

    I would complain to Panasonic to get them to address their firmware, if that's the issue. Maybe they'll need to put out an update. What "new" process was used in making this disc that it would suddenly trip up the firmware of these players?

    I did a pre-order for Avatar 2 at Best Buy. Doesn't really matter to me when they charge my card. Plus I had a rewards certificate that will expire soon. I bought into the "Limited Edition" marketing on the first film's 3D disc release and snapped it up at the time (still haven't watched it)...

    Yes, that was especially tedious on the Japanese release of Shang-Chi. Not unwatchable, but moderately annoying.

    It would have been nice, as I could buy just one package and get all options. With separate choices, I'll likely buy only the 3D release. Though I'm guessing this way they're not going to press as many 3D BR's as they would have to if they included it in every 4K package. Might be one I need...
