Just once. I'm not like a toddler who has to watch The Little Mermaid 37 times in a row. I always space my viewings (of any film) by a period of at least 2 years.
I'm with you on Hell or High Water, not so much on Arrival. While Arrival is certainly a good film, it's at the bottom of my ranking of the Best Picture nominations.
So I've now watched the 4 BP nominations that got released on Blu-ray prior to the awards ceremony. I can't rank them all yet, But here's the work-in-progress:
1. Manchester by the Sea ****
2. Hell or High Water ****
3. Hacksaw Ridge ***1/2
4. Arrival ***
Moonlight arrives on Blu-ray this...
If anything is going to take it away from La La Land by virtue of diversity, it will be Moonlight, not either one of those.
Meryl will not win this year. If anything her speech only gave her the boost to barely snag the nomination, thereby pushing out Amy Adams.
Brad Pitt has a very good track record as a producer. He has been either producer or executive producer on 6 Best Picture Nominees in the last 6 years:
2016 - Moonlight
2015 - The Big Short
2014 - Selma
2013 - 12 Years a Slave
2011 - Moneyball
2011 - The Tree of Life
