Because 3D Blu-ray was my final physical format, all my 4K purchases are digital. I do see the advantages of physical over digital in cases like these, where none of the specs get skimped on disc. For the 2 titles that were previously available in 4K, Vudu hasn’t updated them to include HDR...
I can top that, Gandhi, also from that first Columbia Classics collection has no streaming version with both HDR and Atmos! Vudu has Atmos but no HDR, iTunes, Movies Anywhere, and Amazon have HDR but no Atmos.
Hmmm. For Anatomy of a Murder Vudu actually had it available for sale yesterday, but now it has been pulled back and shows "UHD Sep 28" It also shows that Vudu will have Atmos, but not iTunes. I would suggest anybody like me who will be getting these digitally, wait until they actually...
For me, Oliver! would be the crown jewel of this collection. I remember being surprised at the lukewarm response when Twilight Time first announced the Blu-ray 8 years ago. Most folks just don’t care for it or “get” it. I think it’s sheer perfection of a musical, and without its success there...
Anyone who pays attention to my posts knows that for 4K content, I am a digital-only purchaser. So I look forward to picking up all of these digitally (Sense and Sensibility I already have in 4K). I’m sure the digital bundle will be reasonably priced.
