The Golden Girls would have to be upconverted from tape for a Blu-ray release. Would Disney be willing to shell out the money to do it right for a 100% uncut set with all episodes in stereo? Would the modest DVD extras get ported over?
And by the 1980s, they did the opposite and indicated a "BW" for monochrome shows. I think they even eventually added a "CZ" designation for anything colorized.
