I personally don't have a problem with this release since the original version is being included. I'm more upset over the 3D version hitting theaters when I believe two or three years ago Warner released the 2D version in theater. I don't know if the 2D version just didn't do well for them...

A few theaters in Louisville re-released this a couple years ago and both of them reported pretty big crowds. It seems they could have re-released this without the 3D and sold just as many tickets (of course, the 3D/Imax prices will get them more money). I do find it odd that so many purist...
