Obviously, you're not alone as the reason why 3-D showings at theaters have decreased as attendance at such showings must have decreased too for theaters to forego such showings when they charge extra monies for them.

I was thinking about this movie and I love the inclusion of Jay & the Americans "Come a Little Bit Closer" in Yondu's bad-ass sequence.

IMO, I think most people will enjoy this film more in their second viewing due to the family and personal dynamics exposed in this film.

I agree, I had my second viewing of it today in IMAX 3-D and liked it a lot more this time than my first viewing. I was sick last Friday and congested with a cold so I think that affected my enjoyment level. Also, the 3-D was much better at my IMAX theater than the local theater I viewed on...

That's okay Steve, but I didn't know about those plot points and I have to think, I'm not the only one. I just bought my ticket for the first Friday 3-D showing at my local Dolby Atmos theater with a 70 foot screen. I'll probably see it again next Monday or Tuesday at my nearest IMAX theater...
