I don't know as I never bought the German Blu-ray due some PQ concerns expressed by other posters.

Wow! I sampled the first five minutes as I needed to see it in 1.85 ratio for the first time. I will try to watch the entire disc in the next several days.

I got my Blu-ray of This Island Earth today. It's going to be a while before I can play it as I got a lot of stuff going on at home.
