And that wasn't the only place-- I neglected to mention that also one of the post-series movies has no teaser: The Greatest Rescues of Emergency! (probably no need for it anyway, because all that was was a clip show about 20 or 30 rescues that John and Roy were involved in over the 6 seasons of...
Me either-- OT, Emergency! on NBC did it right (at least in the series): cold opens that could be as short as 2 min., or as long as 10 (depending on how each week's episode was structured). The only time the later-style teasers were used, IIRC, is in the six post-series TV movies in 1978 and 1979.
And Kaz and Ed also worked together in that first-season Streets of San Francisco episode "The Albatross" the next season (1972-73); Kaz would be Artis Pierce in that episode (who could not hear the Miranda given to him when he was arrested for murder, and had his confession initially thrown out...
And non-QM: Donna Mills would, almost a decade later, be Abby Fairgate Cunningham Ewing Sumner on Knots Landing on CBS starting in season 2 (1980-81), and going to the 10th go (1988-89).
One of several acting roles he had, before he became the host of the infamous 1990 version of Tic Tac Dough in syndication (the one with the rapping Dragon and Dragonslayer, among other unpopular changes).
And Michael Douglas (who would be Lt. Stone's first partner, Insp. Steve Keller, in The Streets of San Francisco) will have his first taste of QM in a later sixth-season episode, "The Hitchhiker," to come in 1971 (he would be Jerome [Jerry] Williams there).
And on another show, this from CBS, Gunsmoke, the volumes stop with the 16th go (1970-71), and that and the last four (1971-75) are all single releases.
