That's how I saw the film more than once in my small-town theater. Academy ratio, mono sound, eye-popping color, Faith Domergue, the scary aliens. Did I mention Faith Domergue?

My small town theater did not convert to widescreen till 195? (Can't remember.) So I remember seeing This Island Earth multiple times there in 1.37. Looking forward to finally watching it in its OAR. To hell with nostalgia!
