There actually are more plants around the US, just not "major" ones. One insider at an indie label revealed on another forum recently that they were able to pick a different plant from a list after not being satisfied with their current one. Of course, a major studio would probably never give...

I love a good bargain just like everyone else but sometimes I just want the least possible hurdle and more peace of mind even if that means paying more. Paypal's Pay-In-4 scheme helps soften the financial blow a little.

Press Release BVHE Press Release: The Abyss, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of the Water (4k UHD) (Blu-ray)

I'm actually hoping this turns into a crazy "Sorry, we're sold out" situation where people can't find places that have stock available for days or even weeks after street date. We need these to sell like hotcakes so Disney realizes there's still a very viable physical media market out there...

Yes but I actually prefer that. On more than one occasion I've been charged for stuff at other retailers at the time of shipment and ended up with an overdraft charge because I didn't have enough funds at the time. I'm not the best financial record keeper. What I'm NOT a fan of is paying months...

My final tally was $74.97 via Atomic Movie Store and they always ship early so I'll likely have my copies in-hand before the 12th. They use boxes for all shipments so I don't have to worry about footprint marks on my packaging :)

Press Release BVHE Press Release: The Abyss, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of the Water (4k UHD) (Blu-ray)

Happily preordered all three from Atomic. March 12 (or thereabouts) is going to be one epic week. I wish Disney would hurry and start hinting about their plans (if any) for further forays into more back catalog physical releases for the near future. Hopefully these Cameron titles selling like...

Walmart uses FedEx, which I hate, and I don't trust Amazon to ship on time so I'm going with either one of my two favorite boutique labels: Orbit DVD or Atomic Movie Store. With the release of these Cameron flicks on 4K it sort of feels like the end of a long, winding, dangerous road - at...

Press Release BVHE Press Release: The Abyss, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of the Water (4k UHD) (Blu-ray)

Still can't believe Disney is going to release all three Cameron films on the same date in March. I've watched The Abyss on Amazon so I'm not in as much of a hurry to revisit that one but it's still a highly-anticipated purchase along with the other two. I'm not worried about the "new look" as...

Press Release BVHE Press Release: The Abyss, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of the Water (4k UHD) (Blu-ray)

Sorry, I have no idea. Amazon Prime is the only streaming service I use and that's only because I have Amazon Prime.

I just watched the Amazon stream and it looked AMAZING! Like with Titanic, I was enthralled for the entire near-3 hour viewing. My goodness, we finally have The Abyss looking 100% watchable. Granted, there are some dodgy-looking special effects sequences towards the end that likely cannot be...

Cameron doesn't like grain - he has said so himself numerous times over the years, so the only visible grain we'll see on these discs will be the very minimal fine layer that stops short of making these look like wax jobs. That's not necessarily a bad thing IMO and I will personally judge the...

Press Release BVHE Press Release: The Abyss, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of the Water (4k UHD) (Blu-ray)

It is. And it wasn't helping that people are complaining that the SE in the digital download versions weren't in 4K. It took me a while to understand they were talking specifically about the digital release.

In case you weren't joking, you should be able to buy any of these fairly easily, especially if you preorder from a specialty boutique retailer like Orbit DVD or Atomic Movie Store. I plan to preorder all three from Atomic. Gonna be an epic week of goodness and I can't wait.

Press Release BVHE Press Release: The Abyss, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of the Water (4k UHD) (Blu-ray)

There's a lot of unhappy people on social media and I can understand their frustration to a degree - they've been waiting decades for these Cameron films to finally make their way to remastered discs (except for Aliens which has received a very good BD release) but this is how Cameron wants his...

Fake grain? No thanks. You want grain, shoot on film. Nobody makes actual films anymore anyway so it's a moot point. Now it's all products to make menus on streaming services less sparse.

That's pretty crazy. May as well just wait for the disc unless you're a stickler for streaming. Of course, Disney is counting on folks to double dip to make more $$. Does one have to subscribe to Disney+ to be able to stream this? I would've purchased the stream if it had been a more reasonable...

Apparently Cameron is not the only one that is enamored of teal. Threads on many other films I visit on another forum have become sh**shows of people moaning about "too much teal" or "teal was never the original color". It's as if people are suddenly seeing teal everywhere and it's giving them...

Press Release BVHE Press Release: The Abyss, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of the Water (4k UHD) (Blu-ray)

This is already a tug of war of extreme opinions across various social platforms, so much so that I'm considering steering clear of message board chatter for both Titanic (I think it looks breathtaking) and The Abyss until AFTER March 12th. Even so, I may just drop in occasionally to peek at the...

Press Release BVHE Press Release: The Abyss, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of the Water (4k UHD) (Blu-ray)

The wait for The Cameron three, as I call them, will be excruciating. It looks like I won't be getting my copy of Titanic in the mail for a while (anyone else experiencing a shipping delay from Best Buy?) but I'm encouraged by the mostly positive reviews thus far. A few dissenting voices on...

I never thought of the alien ship that emerges from the depths at the finale as "hokey". It looked very "alien" to me. The "spray paint" look was meant to emulate the slippery/slimy attributes of large sea creatures. I thought it was brilliant. People choose the strangest things to complain...
