I'm going to have to watch the whole 8th season again, but I was definitely not happy with 80% of it, and the last episode didn't sit well at all. It just felt too contrived, for lack of a better term. I expected surprises, and I really didn't get any. And King Bran the Broken? Really? I feel...

My prediction is that Dany kills EVERYONE, including Jon and Arya, and the last image we'll see in GoT is her and Drogon sitting atop a pile of charred bodies, while the world burns around them. ;)

While I thought last night's episode was pretty amazing, I was really disappointed with the way they closed Cersei's arc. Throughout the series she has been a shrewd tactician, both politically and militarily, yet she apparently had NO plan for dealing with Dany other than just standing there...

Ha! My wife and I thought the same thing, and joked with each other about this being "the drinking episode."

Tonights episode, from a technical standpoint, looked GREAT. FINALLY!!! None of the issues that plagued my viewing of the first two episodes was evident at all. Maybe HBO was listening.

He's only half Targaryen. His mother was a Stark. Since he wasn't a full-blooded Targaryen he may not be impervious to dragon fire, and even if he was I doubt that he'd withstand Viserion's blue version.

Sorry, but I don't buy it. I believe he would have fought to the end and died by the sword rather than sacrificing himself to the dragon for no good reason.

Still, the theory that Jon was urging Arya to strike and not stupidly yelling at an undead dragon makes a heck of a lot more sense.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that it was Arya who took out the Night King, I'm dissatisfied with the way the show wrapped up the White Walker threat. They have been the boogiemen behind much of the Stark's philosophy, the very existence of the Night's Watch, and the building of the Wall...

Not for me it didn't. Same old macroblocking, banding, and motion artifacts I *always* get via the HBO Go app. It looked phenomenally horrible.

It was pretty bad. I would never subscribe to HBO on a monthly basis based on my experiences with GoT Seasons 7 and 8 and their Go app. It really is horrendous.

Technical comment: Who here is watching via the HBO Go app? I am, on my Apple TV 4K, and I must say that (once again) GoT looks like complete ASS. TERRIBLE black levels, macroblocking and banding up the wazoo, and motion artifacts galore. Every other streaming service on my equipment looks...
