There's still the question of whether Wal-Mart will be doing SteelBooks for these. That's what I'm waiting for. Even if the current press runs sell out, I wouldn't expect this is a situation where they go OOP permanently.

I'm pretty sure they charge on shipping. I rarely order from them, as some of their stores are in reasonable driving distance from me. In fact, I was just at one of them yesterday. I don't think they do a pre-auth, though they might if you're a first-time customer.

It's been ages since I'd last watched the original LD release (which was in 1.85 rather than 2.35) but as I recall, it was pretty grainy. Not quite as Aliens was around the same time, but still quite grainy. Seems to me that the "Special Edition" (LD and DVD) was considerably less grainy.
