Press Release BVHE Press Release: Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (1937) (4k UHD Combo)

Everything I’ve seen about the restoration says its from the negative, but that may just be media hype for all I know. I’m hoping Robert Harris’ review will shed some light on the subject. I do recall reading that Pinocchio’s negative had suffered water damage at some point (I want to say I...

Press Release BVHE Press Release: Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (1937) (4k UHD Combo)

While this article is primarily about Cinderella’s restoration, there’s a passage near the end which gives an idea of what other classics we might expect if Snow White turns out to be as successful as Cinderella, with Fantasia, Sleeping Beauty, and Alice in Wonderland mentioned specifically...

Yeah, I alluded to that cover in my initial post of this thread (What on earth were they thinking?). The DVD case variant, while still a bit cluttered, was much more appropriate with Snow White in the mirror and the witch at the bottom of the cover.

Those colors on the right-hand side of the comparison do look nice, but I have to wonder how accurate they are. I remember reading a quote about the 1993 restoration attributed to Ollie Johnston in which he supposedly said the colors used there were “Nice colors. Not the ones we used, but nice...

Press Release BVHE Press Release: Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (1937) (4k UHD Combo)

Nice to see this officially announced, though I’m not sure I like that cover art (of course, it could have been worse like the Diamond Edition cover with the witch front and center). Hopefully, it will look just as good as Cinderella, and am interested to know what color timing will be used.
