Two quality films, directed by Ben Affleck.
The Town shot on film, and finished in 2k.
Argo shot on data (2.8k) as well as film, finished as 4k.
An interesting comparison.
Possibly since the original Blu-ray releases -- both of which were followed by extended cuts -- were of such high quality, there really isn't much of a perceived uptick with 4k, over the Blu-ray projected via 4k up-rez.
The inclusion of HDR is obvious, with blacks going heavier, and a reduction in shadow detail (at least in projection), but a nice overall image.
As noted, two very good, and entertaining films, to which 4k adds little.
If I ruled home video, I'd be releasing primarily 4k productions, and new 4k scans, but for Warner, the real stuff would be 2001, The Searchers, Gypsy, The Music Man, North by Northwest, Auntie Name, et al...

Audio - 5 (DTS-HD MA 5.1)
4k - 5
Worth the Upgrade? - Only if one is collecting 4k discs
Pass / Fail - Pass
Highly Recommended
