Assuming you are still heading up this division, sir, I wish to thank you with all my heart for your efforts to keep alive the release of classic films on Blu-ray.
I now anticipate the Archive's monthly announcements with as much nail-biting joy as I do those from Twilight Time and Criterion (and, lately, even more so than the latter's). Never....and I mean never...would I have suspected you would give us WORLD WITHOUT END on Blu-ray, just to name one of numerous examples. You're pumping out the musicals and science-fiction and comedy titles from your MGM, RKO, Allied Artists and WB titles that Warner Bros. proper no longer provides us. In other words, you are rescuing on Blu-ray these movies ranging from the great right through to the obscure from an oblivion they would probably otherwise be relegated to.
This is more appreciated than you could know based only upon sales receipts. So many of us aging old duffs out here who were alive when a lot of this stuff was first released to theaters are eagerly scooping up your Blu's, Not all of us will express our appreciation for these releases on this forum, which I understand you read regularly, but I think I can safely speak for us all (many hundreds just on this site) when I say your efforts are held in high esteem, and are hopefully being rewarded by profitable sales. Personally, I can't wait to read March's announcements...and May's, and June's, etc. Your upping the pace of Archive releases to four per month is a film aficionado's dream come true.
Great work, Mr. Feltenstein & company.
