Good start. Unless they match Apple upgrading all past purchases to UHD where available tho they remain way behind.
I hope they do that too. Apple had to buck studio resistance in order to do that and I imagine Vudu would have to fight the same battle.

That quote from the Vudu guy was posted in response to people asking them to do just that, so I think when he said “give us a few more days we hope to keep updating you with good news” I took that to mean a wink wink in that direction...

One thing I will be curious to see is, if that happens, will our UV licenses upgrade as well?

Vudu also announced on their Facebook page that HDR10 support was "coming soon" which I hope means that we'll see more devices become 4K capable.

According to their forums there is some sort of glitch. There were supposed to be 60 more titles dropping in price today but they haven’t yet either...

Today, I received this email from Vudu:

HDR10 Support Is Now Available On Vudu

Dear Robert,
TVudu has launched support for HDR10 on compatible Samsung and LG TVs, Xbox One S and X, and Roku 4K and Nvidia Shield devices. This is in addition to our already existing Dolby Vision HDR format support.
Now that we offer both HDR formats, Vudu users have access to more 4K + HDR movies across many more devices.
You can currently watch over 36 movies in HDR10, with more on the way. Users with HDR-capable devices will automatically receive the best possible format compatible with their 4K + HDR device.
Any movies that you have previously purchased on Vudu in 4K UHD that qualify for an HDR10 update will be viewable in 4K HDR.
Thank you for your continued support of Vudu. We look forward to bringing you many more movies in 4K + HDR across many more devices.
