Spider-Man: Homecoming in 3D, and Rawhead Rex for me.

I believe Deep Discount has the SMH 3D for $22.99.

Thank you for your work, Mike.

A big week for me in terms of releases I want -- more than I would possibly be able to afford in a given week -- including the Gkids Studio Gibli releases; The Good Place; Crazy Ex-Girlfriend; and Spider-Man.

While I understand the appeal for Gkids of releasing their Gibli titles in large batches, as it gets their product on the shelves sooner to replace Disney's older versions, releasing six at once is bound to be cost-prohibitive for all but the richest fans. I'll start with Kiki's Delivery Service now, which for some reason I never picked up on BD when Disney released it, and I expect I'll end up with the others at some point down the line.

The Good Place and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are among my favorite comedy series, but as they are only on DVD and not receiving Blu-ray editions, they can wait for now.

Spider-Man I'm sure will end up with a price drop/sale sooner rather than later.

Me too...that's why I'm gonna hold out on it for a while.

BB will apparently have Serenity for $17.99 on UHD, which is well within my price point. I'll probably pick that up later in the week with Apollo 13 and Starship Troopers.

Batman vs. Two Face is on the radar too.I'm mildly surprised this isn't on UHD since the last DC animated movie (Batman and Harley Quinn) made it onto the format.

I don't think I missed any Cartwheel deals this week, right Mike? And thank you.

Thanks, Mike. I have the UHD version of Apollo 13 on pre-order, and will pick up the UHD of Serenity when the price drops. Nothing else for me. Barry Lyndon is not one of my favorite Kubrick films, so I don't plan on getting the Criterion version.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike!

Quite a few discs I'll get eventually but not in a big hurry at the moment since I already have a tower of discs that need watching.

Thanks, as always, for the time and effort you put into this each and every week, Mike! We all appreciate it.

Just a couple for me this week:

Three O’Clock High (Collector’s Edition Blu-ray)
This is an underrated film that should have done better on its initial release. Glad to replace my DVD
Ernie Kovacs: Take A Good Look: The Definitive Collection
I bought this direct from Shout Factory to get the bonus disc they offered.

Interested in checking out American Gods, but where are the Best Buy and Target prices. No flyers this week from BB, and the Target didn't feature that disc. I guess Amazon does rule the world.

Throwing out a potential sale which I have NO information other than the usual timing.

CRITERION FLASH sale is due and this week seems to be the most likely timing. Last year it was Monday Oct 17 and that's the latest the Fall sale ever happened. So M/Tues and maybe Th are the most likely days.

BN sale hasn't shown any rumors yet, but Oct 31 or Nov 7 would be the most likely start days.

I'm supposed to be getting all of the Spider-Man 4K UHD's that street this week, but only Homecoming has arrived, and should have the review up later today or early tomorrow.

I see that the Stranger Things target exclusive is BD only, no 4K, right? Odd since the show was in 4K/HDR. Does anyone know if a future 4K UHD release is planned?

At this point, we're lucky to even get a blu-ray release for a TV show. Many of them are released DVD only, if at all to physical media.

If I were a fan, the issue here would be it's a Target exclusive and there are no Target stores within 100 miles. I guess I could buy it online, but still. It would be easier to buy it at Walmart or Best Buy.

Though I sort of wonder if maybe many retailers may not have been interested in taking on a series already readily available via streaming? Maybe Target was the only retailer that showed interest?

I would like to make everyone aware of the release of the documentary STEP, which I didn't know was coming out this week until I got an email about it, and its extremely low profile probably explains why Mike didn't put it in the Roundup (I'm guessing he didn't know it was out this week either.) But I saw it in the theater a couple months ago and it is absolutely wonderful. If you enjoy a good doc, I would highly reccomend a rental on this.

:D

People might be surprised at the number of titles which DON'T get included on any given week in a RoundUp.

Many years ago I made a deliberate decision NOT to include anime or professional wrestling titles. Also, no physical fitness titles. But, each week, there are any number of less-known titles which fall by the wayside as I try to limit things to those titles which are of general interest to the wide-reaching membership of the HTF. 'Tis the hard work of the editor...

As the "Disclaimer" each week notes:

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

I'm always thrilled when members (such as Jake does above) bring awareness to a title which "didn't make the cut." So, bring 'em on!

Since you asked :), Summer Of Fear (a 1978 Wes Craven TV movie with Linda Blair) came out today. It's backordered on Amazon but they want $15.99 for it. I haven't seen the disc and I've never heard of the company releasing it so I can't speak to its quality or lack thereof.

Normally I agree with this. However ST pulled a GoT in terms of popularity + acclaim, so for this I would have expected a UHD release especially for something already showing in 4K and wouldn't have required "extra work".
