Is there an ISF calibration equivalent for projectors? I am assuming ISF calibration is only for flat screen displays.

I'm pretty sure that projector calibration is ISF. Some projectors come with the ISF presets.

All video displays can be calibrated to one degree or another. A video projection system is just one video display type. The Imaging Science Foundation is an educational and consulting service provider. Video display calibration predates the ISF and continues independently of it. "ISF calibration" is a short-cut term popularized in the video consumer market but most display calibrations are performed by technicians with no connection to the network of ISF-trained and certified graduates.

The ISF is not a formal video industry standards body such as the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), etc. THX, Ltd. is another educational and consulting organization similar in many ways to the ISF. These two for-profit organizations base their classes and services on the same video industry standards and recommended practices published by the non-profit video industry standards bodies.
