Exceptional lineup for me too! My Sister Eileen is one I’ve waited a long time for. And more Monroe, Hayworth, and Mills! And at least with Twilight Time we know we will get the proper 4.0 soundtracks on the the two CinemaScope pictures.

Just after I mentioned, maybe a week ago, My Sister Eileen and it is coming. But it would be nice if they told us we might get the 1940s non-musical version included as an extra being that it is also Columbia.

There was a really nice gatefold Laserdisc edition that contained both versions of the movie, but to the best of my knowledge the 1942 version of My Sister Eileen has never been on DVD.

All four titles for me (if indeed it's the 1955 Eileen and not the 1942 version for which my DVD is just fine, thank you).

Sooner or later I'll have all four of these films on Blu-ray disc. Right now I'm particularly interested in My Gal Sal with both Rita Hayworth and Carole Landis. The DVD-R is awful so I'm hoping Fox will produce one of their miracles.

Actually the 1942 My Sister Eileen is available on DVD in a nice transfer. It's part of the Icons Of Screwball Comedy set Sony released in 2009. The other titles in the set are If She Could Only Cook (Jean Arthur, Herbert Marshall), Too Many Husbands (Jean Arthur, Fred MacMurray) and She Wouldn't Say Yes (Rosalind Russell).

So happy another musical with the amazing Bob Fosse and Tommy Rall is coming on Blu. ( Jack Lemmon, Janet Leigh and Betty Garrett too :))

Good use of irony! I'd also prefer the musical re-make with that splendid score from Jule Styne and Leo Robin. Co-written by Blake Edwards too.

Now I'm really confused. Is it the 1942 Eileen (which is pictured) or the 1955 Eileen which is listed under the four posters that TT is releasing? I'll upgrade the 1955 version but the 1942 DVD works fine for me.

I was going by the poster but now I notice that the year 1955 is being quoted. So I'm confused now as well! I expect Twilight Time will let us know pretty quickly.

Sorry, I don't agree at all about the DVD-R of My Gal Sal. It looks about as good as one could hope for considering the lacking Fox Technicolor elements and DVD resolution. It's clear Fox had done a lot of work on the title, likely for a Marquee Musical release that never happened, as the picture has been cleaned up, reel change cues eliminated, and color fiddled with it get it as close as possible to a Technicolor look.

I reviewed the DVD-R a year or two ago, and I wasn't the only one who considered it one of the better DVD-Rs in the Fox Film Archive lineup.

Hey guys!

Just checking in after posting this earlier today.

It is the 1955 version. Sorry, the poster is wrong. That is the poster that came up during a Google search for that film and that year. Not knowing anything about the film I just went with it.

Sorry for the confusion.

This one I am interested in. Another early Bob Fosse appearance. Janet Leigh. Jack Lemmon. Nice cast.
