Receiver with MIC In for Karaoke
Hello All,
According to a friend, there really is no longer a need for a karaoke machine to have home karaoke. They say they can just open YouTube and find songs with the lyrics displayed so what they want is a receiver that has a MIC In input that works when they are watching TV. In other words, they may have their ROKU hooked up to an HDMI input on the receiver playing/processing the TV sound and out the receiver HDMI output to their TV. They set the ROKU to YouTube and play the music videos with lyrics on the TV. They would like a receiver that can process a MIC input when in a TV mode on the receiver. What receiver has this functionality for a MIC input to work when watching TV (or in this case, YouTube on a ROKU)? Their current receiver has a Mic In, but it is not active when the receiver is in a TV viewing mode using HDMI cables between their Roku, receiver and TV. Some say I must purchase a mixer, but isn't there any way to make a Mic work (or a model receiver that has this functionality built in) with a receiver without buying a mixer?
