Hey all. I currently have a Pioneer vsx-1023-k that I am looking to replace. Something with more power and Atmos

I'm sorry, I had the 2400 in my head. The 2400 is $450 with the 2500 already on market.

You said you were looking at the 4400, what does it have that would make it more useful than the 2400 in your setup? Cruthsfield has really helpful comparoos:

Would you use the extra channels and wattage? Otherwise you are paying double for nearly same feature set.

Yes, I intend on getting additional speakers for Atmos purposes. Also the extra power would be nice. I frequently listen to music through my receiver.

Are there any better options out there for around the same price?

Just add an amp (Auto Source 100 vs Amp) to the 4400H and you're set to go to 7.2.4. I paid that price 6 months ago for the 4300H, that's a deal!

Thanks everyone. I actually found a better deal on this unit. I purchased it for $750 - free shipping and no tax. There is an authorized Denon dealer selling these units with brand new with damaged boxes. A damaged box is definitely worth a $150 trade-off to me.
