For those seeking a high-end art film, please move on.
Hunter Killer isn't it.
What it is, however, with suspension of disbelief firmly in place, is a terrifically entertaining political / military thriller that arrives running on twelve cylinders, and never lets up.
Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman (probably grabbing a quick role between major projects), Common, Linda Cardellini, along with some beautiful, and believable effects.
All wrapped together with a terrific Dolby Atmos mix.
Roma it's not, but high on pure entertainment, and great way to kill a couple of hours.
