What happened to The Amazing Race? For years it won Emmy Awards as TV's best reality series, and rivaled Survivor for ratings and viewer interest. Out of sight, out of mind, I guess.

Here are the teams:
Art Velez and John James “JJ” Carrell (The Amazing Race)

Colin Guinn and Christie Woods (The Amazing Race)

Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce (The Amazing Race 29)

Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran (The Amazing Race)

Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl (The Amazing Race)

Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle (Survivor)

Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins (Survivor)

Rupert and Laura Boneham (Survivor)

Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes (Big Brother)

Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater (Big Brother)

Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo (Big Brother)

I enjoyed the first episode, though i wasn't thrilled to see either Rachel or Tyler again. Ditto Colin and Christie, though he appears to have mellowed quite a bit since his borderline abusive behavior on an earlier Race. Also, Rupert proves once again that he's not the sharpest tool in any drawer regardless of the show.

Looking forward to the new season - even if I'm the only one watching!

I barely remember former TAR teams, but remember more of the teams from BB and Survivor.

I still like the show better than BB, but I can see why BB is much cheaper to make.

Static camera placements, Zero travel, Controlled environment, Biggest "security problem" is probably fly-overs.....

Versus the potential to bring your whole cast and crew into a revolution.... I mean, could you imagine?

What kind of insurance premiums must they (and also Survivor) pay??
