I've never found Tony Richardson's 1982, The Border, to be a great film. It just isn't. Interesting, on some levels, yes. But it's definitely grade B- fare, at best, even with Mr. Nicholson in the lead, who plays his role far more blandly than he had for his previous film.
As a Blu-ray, Kino's new Blu-ray is also okay. Nothing special, in what appears to be an older HD transfer. Indicator seems to have a newer example, but it's Region B only.
