They added tone mapping and a special mode optimized for use with the Panasonic player HDR settings. I haven't heard anything on if they will be adding these features to projectors that cost less than $30,000.

I thought the lower cost RS1000-3000 models already had firmware optimized for the Panasonic players with new color profiles. https://hometheaterreview.com/jvc-and-panasonic-join-forces-to-make-big-screen-hdr-better/

What I like to know is whether this also applies to the far more affordable Panasonic UB820.
