I don't have one myself, but I've heard very good things about the TCL 6-Series sets. 4K with local-dimming and Dolby Vision, all for about $500 for the 55" model.

Don't expect to get actual HDR from those low end sets. I have a TCL series 5 43", and while it can process HDR, it doesn't have the dynamic range to actually take advantage of it. When HDR is enabled, the picture gets a horrible solarized look. I know the series 6 is better, but I doubt it can do decent HDR. You really need to get into Quantum LED and OLED to take advantage of that.
