I have now watched two episodes of this revenge series: the 90-minute pilot and the first hour-long episode, and the tone now has become clear: it's flippantly grim. These are (in the main) Holocaust survivors who have discovered Nazis living incognito in America in 1977, and they're going after them. You have a cross section of young and old hunters and some really vicious and calculating Nazis biding their time waiting to launch a Fourth Reich.

While I've enjoyed the first two episodes, some of the comic interludes used to introduce characters or dive into the subconscious realms of the hunters seems a bit too flip for so serious and graphically violent a subject. Still trying to digest my feelings, but I'll keep watching.

yeah I agree theres alot of scenes of Jews getting tortured etc, and while the revenge on the nazi's is severe the Former seems to eclipse the latter. I'm watchung but guardedly unsure for how long

Watched the first episode today and really enjoyed the setup. It does have something of a graphic novel feel to the narrative in terms of establishing the players and some of the storytelling mechanics. (For instance, the debate about heroes and villains amongst Jonah and his friends outside the movie theater, and the reference to 'Bruce Wayne' rich.) I'm fine with that though, despite the subject matter. I'm always a fan of presentations set in the 1970s, so I am enjoying the time capsule aspect of the series quite a bit.

On a less serious note - Man, they weren't kidding about nudity. I wish I could 'unsee' the chemist. :)

We watched 1.5 episodes and could not continue. We did not like the tone of the series and found the flippant approach almost offensive.
Happy for those who like this series but we won’t be returning.

I want to watch this series, but first, I have to watch "Watchmen" and "Outsider". I've woefully behind my TV viewing especially series on Amazon, Netflix and such.

I am watching this (obviously), but, like you, I do have quite a few shows on Netflix and Prime that I haven't gotten to yet. There is just far too much material out there and not enough time for it all.

Watch 2 episodes so far, but I’m pretty turned off by the concentration camp flashback scenes in particular. Way too uncomfortably portrayed as almost torture porn, and I don’t think very respectful of the very real victims of the holocaust.

Both series are well worth your time.

Yeah, there is a surfeit of material available for viewing these days. I'd really like to watch The Mandalorian and the new Star Trek series, but there is already so much material available on the services I do pay for already that I have a real problem paying for two more services. I guess it is better than not having much to view. Better Call Saul, Westworld, and Fargo are all back or will be soon; it feels kind of unrelenting at times.

Yeah I'm out episode 3 we get a drug induced dance number mixed with Concentration camp horror, previous we get a mock tv commercial, the tone is all over the place who is this appealing to. Way to flippant in spots they seem they want things both ways.

I agree that the tone is all over the place, it's like it doesn't know what it wants to be. Slapping all styles and themes all over the place.

Tarantino did it best with Inglorious Bastards.

I really like Pacino too but I am starting to realize I like the younger Al better as an actor. I'm thinking pre-Scent of a Woman Al. He's playing every character now with such bombastic flair that he is a caricature of himself.
