Robert,

Those before pictures are like a time warp back to the 70's. The project is looking really good. I like the choice of components.

A current photo of my cluttered HT, but the lights are usually off, so the clutter is usually in the dark. I really need to extend that antenna cable, so it doesn't run across the middle of the room. Not to mention all those other wires.

Some people might wonder why my speakers are way out in the room. The back of them is 4' from the wall. Well, that's for optimal imaging. It can make an enormous difference, even if it seems kind of weird.

That TV is enormous in person. The ultra wide lens makes it look small.

Current pictures. As you can see the kids take over the movie room. Still a work in progress.
Plans:
More batman themed decor
Movie shelf
Snack popcorn area and full fridge:popcorn::3dglasses:

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Seeing these great examples of members theaters and a/v system helps all of us to take ideas on how to set-up our a/v rooms.

In case it wasn’t apparent, my system is audio centric. I know a lot of people here put more priority on the video. I do have a new 65” Vizio P Series that is an incredible value, but 90% of my equipment investment is in the audio, particularly for music.

Found some before pictures thought y'all might like to see. My wife and I did everything except for drywall. Couldn't pay me enough to take on that big of a drywall project lol

This is my new theatre/drum room. It is a large duplex home, so I wanted to isolate sound to the room as much as possible. It’s a two to one car garage conversion. The walls are doubled, about 9in. total width with 2x4 staggered studs, 1in. air gap between walls, and double 5/8in. drywall on inner wall, single 5/8in. on outer wall, standard insulation batting in between, double insulated doors for entry, non parallel walls, 6in. sloped ceiling. Dimensions are 17.5ft L, 9-10ft wide (one wall not parallel) ceiling 7’4”-7’10”, rear wall has a 3” V configuration. The wall treatment is ATS Solutions panels 4 48”x24”, 4 24”x24”. They did wonders for a very lively room.
Equipment
B&W speakers, 702S2 fronts, HTM71S2 center, 706S2 rears, DB3D sub, Marantz SR 6014 receiver, Sony BDP UBPX1100ES, Sony XBR65A8G, Apple TV 64GB, hardwired with CAT6, Sanus stand SFV49B
Drums (covered with a heavy comforter so they won’t sing!) are Yamaha Stage Custom with Zildjian K cymbals
It all works quite nicely and the room allows me to play the system as loud I like, well into the night, without complaints.;)
