Control4 introduces Triad Distributed Audio Series speakers

Control4 has announced new Triad Distributed Audio Series audio loudspeakers designed for multi-room audio applications “on any budget and for all types of listeners,” with 14 models focusing on installation flexibility and performance.

The new series accommodates sizes and configurations engineered with builders, contractors and homeowners in mind. The speakers feature pivoting tweeters and vary in size for in-wall and in-ceiling installation configurations. All models ship with a white, round, low-profile grill, but replacement square and round grills are available for purchase from Control4 and can be custom paint-matched to blend with décor. A tweeter bridge doubles on each model as a handle, and the mounting screw system is designed to reduce installation time.

Series 1 is an “affordable” whole-home audio option for both new construction and finished living areas, and there are two solutions primed for background music, an in-ceiling (TS-IC61) or in-wall (TS-IW61) model. They include polypropylene woofers and 3/4-inch aimable cloth dome tweeters.

Series 2 speakers are aimed at filling an entire home with music, and are built around reinforced poly-mica woofers. The company claims they offer “superior bass” and aimable Teteron dome tweeters deliver “full, natural sound.” Four in-ceiling models (TS-IC52, TS-IC62, TS-IC82, and TS-IC82DT) and two in-wall models (TS-IW62 and TS-IW82) are voice-matched, promoting mixed and matched speaker configurations throughout a home for “identical” tonal qualities from room to room.

Series 3 includes four in-ceiling models (TS-IC53, TS-IC63, TS-IC83, and TS-IC83DT with dual tweeters), and two in-wall models (TS-IW63 and TS-IW83), which include one-inch aimable silk dome tweeters and carbon-fiber woofers for “durability and deep bass.” Series 3 models come with an integrated back box for improved sound isolation.

“Our new Triad Distributed Audio Series speakers were thoughtfully designed to satisfy a wide range of listeners, as the demand for multi-room audio solutions for any budget is requested by builders, contractors, dealers, and homeowners,” said Charlie Kindel, Senior Vice President of Products and Services for Control4. “The 14 in-wall and in-ceiling models sport features Triad is known for to suit every installation application, from beautifully subtle, low-profile, customizable, and frameless grills, to consistent voice-matching. There’s a Triad DA Series speaker for everyone.”
