I saw it first run on a Broadway sinema.;) Forget the name.

I first saw it at a Pussycat Theater, a small adult film chain that used to exist here in California. The Pussycat Theaters were relatively popular because they were regularly policed by staff to make sure there wasn't anything unseemly going on in the seats. During their heyday, they were relatively clean too, not that much different than the cleanliness of multiplex cinemas of today.

I was only 17 but they sold me a ticket without checking my ID. :)

I saw The Devil in Miss Jones there too.

Already out on Bluray in Europe for those who cannot wait.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Deep-Throat-Blu-ray/188974/

it's been stated that the European release is a upscale of a 720 file,

was gong to think of something humorous to say in this thread, but was afraid it would just go maybe a little to far. If a bad pun or worse shows up, here goes. Apparently this may be one of the few releases that Damino's Estate has worked on to have restored, as they are trying to preserve their fathers legacy. Damino Jr. has a website directly discussing this. and for the last few years has driven around with one of his fathers cinematographers, Larry Revene interviewing actors and actresses of the "Golden Era" or "Porno Chic" era to get their views, maybe to be used as extra features. Who knows, the website hasn't been updated for some time now.

This film has more notoriety than most because of lawsuits between two adult distributors , and well the financing isn't to clear, you look for yourself. But even after that it has become part of american pop culture, to the point of having a documentary made about it, and bio film of Linda Lovelace, so i suppose with time and acceptance that a certain amount of "those films" have gained enough respectability. hope this is a quality release, and hopefully some other "classic" titles will get a similar release, cant wait to see if a film with a scene edited by Orson Welles gets the same treatment

Wasn't this the original Big Gulp before 7-11 took the name?

C'mon guys, I don't normally advertise releases from this company because we really are limited on space (we usually stick to the bigger distributors), but I couldn't help but throw this title out there and let you guys run with it.
