Dynaudio launches new custom install range at CEDIA

Danish speaker manufacturers Dynaudio will be showcasing several new custom install products at CEDIA in Denver this September. The company will show off its new slimline, in-wall Performance range, as well as its first outdoor models.

The Performance Series in-wall and in-ceiling speakers are classed as the “entry point” to Dynaudio’s custom install lineup, and are designed to deliver high-quality sound in distributed audio setups, home media rooms, and architectural audio applications.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for installers to do their jobs efficiently and effectively, which is why we’ve kept our entire Performance range super-simple to specify and install,” said Andrew Werdean, president, Americas, Dynaudio. “Most of all, we want their clients to experience incredible sound quality and truly enjoy music and films as they were meant to be heard. These new products make it even easier for installers to achieve both.”

The speakers are designed for convenience for installers, meaning they don’t have to choose between deep or shallow versions of the speakers, with the  lineup maintaining just one shallow depth. Dynaudio says that every Performance speaker installs “perfectly” the first time and will deliver high-quality audio. Rectangular in-wall models have a one-piece design for slotting into place and tightening with gripping doglegs, while the round in-ceiling models require no tools and can be twisted into place.

The company has also announced two new outdoor speakers available in black or white: the OW-6 ($499 each), with a 28mm soft-dome tweeter and a 6.5-inch woofer; and the OW-8 ($649 each), with a 28mm tweeter and an 8-inch woofer. These can be connected to regular amps as 8 ohm passive speakers or daisy-chained on a 70V/100V system, and can withstand wide temperature fluctuations, making them ideal for outdoor spaces.
