Lithe Audio launches all-in-one ceiling speakers

Lithe Audio has updated its range of ceiling speakers to provide an improved “all-in-one” Bluetooth ceiling speaker solution for music streaming, and which will be available on Amazon US for $249.99 for one speaker, and $349.99 per pair. The new speakers also include aptX Low Latency, Bluetooth 5.0 and an “enhanced” design, according to the UK-based company.

AptX Low Latency allows audio syncing with the picture when watching content on a linked TV or screen device. The function reduces delay and improves end-to-end speed of the audio transmission resulting in “high quality” synchronised sound, while the introduction of Bluetooth 5.0 gives the speakers increased range, from 10 meters to a claimed 30-meter connection.

Lithe says that until now it’s been a challenge to retrofit Bluetooth speakers in a ceiling without connecting to a separate amplifier or running cables through walls, and that its design is different from anything else currently available in the sector. The speakers are therefore a “fully integrated” all-in-one solution which can be installed by connecting power from a lighting circuit. Additionally, up to six speakers can be linked together.

The speaker design is frameless with only a 3mm protrusion, and is designed to disappear into a ceiling. Magnetic grille covers can be removed for cleaning or replacement with a different color finish, and can also be painted to match an existing ceiling.

“We’re excited to be launching these new, improved versions of our already well-reviewed Bluetooth speakers ” says Amit Ravat, Lithe Audio’s managing director: “We’re always striving to improve the quality and performance of our products, and this is another great example of our commitment to innovate with the aim of enhancing the end-user experience”.
