Looks like another winner to me though a bit pricey perhaps. Will this model only support a single powered sub as opposed to the usual two in similar marantz pre/pro's?

I think I'm waiting to see if my 7702mkII gets 4K UHD firmware upgrades or if I'll have to upgrade whenever I go 4K.

Way out of my wheel house, but I am feeling tempted by the AV7703.

The look of the thing annoys me. Why hide the status display behind a drop down panel?

I agree, but it has been their signature look for a few years now, and that hasn't stopped me from picking up a 7702 MKII and now a SR7011. At least you get the input and volume level on the smaller non-covered display. I have only dropped the door 3 or 4 times in 3 years to verify something only shown on the large display (surround mode, input channels, etc.)

The AV8805 is out of my range but I am still getting a Marantz SR-8012 as soon as it ships that is. I love the look of the Marantz very clean and classy!

The upgrade for Dolby Vision and HLG is out for the SR5010. We should get it soon! They list your AV7702 mkII and my SR7010 as getting the upgrade this fall. Looking forward to it, everything I have right now does Dolby Vision except the receiver.

I like the look of the Marantz receiver. It hides in a smart closet so I don't see it anyway except when I go in there to stare and the Marantz looks awesome. To each his own. You have to enjoy what you own.

Dave M, looking forward to your thoughts on your new SR8012 when it shows up. Soon I hope.

There seems to be a issue of some kind and I hope it will ship soon. I hope before the end of the month but I have to find out what is going on first. Depending on finances I may be upgrading my Samsung 4K LCD to a Sony OLED that will go with the Marantz receiver.
