MHz Now premium channel available on Samsung TV Plus

MHz Networks has announced the launch of its premium channel MHz Now on Samsung’s free ad-supported Smart TV video service, Samsung TV Plus.
MHz Now includes scripted entertainment from some 15 countries internationally. The ad-supported service launched on Samsung TV Plus (channel 1401) in the U.S. earlier this month, and the company says that the service will be expanded into Canada in early 2020.

Samsung TV Plus is a free ad-supported Smart TV video service delivering “no strings attached” free TV with access to news, sports and entertainment. The service is pre-installed on 2016-2019 Samsung Smart TVs, and makes it possible to watch the free programming over an internet connection with no download, additional devices or payment with a credit card required.

MHz Networks also offers a library of international programming subtitled in English through a subscription streaming service known as MHz Choice. Some of MHz Networks’ content is available on DVD through certain public television affiliates on its national channel, MHz Worldview, as well as on MHz Now.

“We’re really excited to be launching MHz Now on Samsung TV Plus,” says Frederick Thomas, President and CEO of MHz Networks. “It’s a unique linear TV platform that simplifies the experience for viewers and will help us grow our audience.”

Samsung TV Plus users will be able to select titles from MHz Networks’ catalog of mysteries, dramas and comedies, and the MHz Now line-up includes Andrea Camilleri’s Detective Montalbano, WWII drama A French Village and Norwegian drama Mammon. You can go to MHZ Network to see the full line-up.
