I haven't seen the Blu-ray yet either, but I would be shocked if it were. Once Disney decides to edit something, it would be incredibly inconsistent with their past behavior if the unedited version ever saw the light of day again. I'm sure Saludos Amigos will be the same as it is on its DVD release, only in HD.

There may be a ray of hope. When the documentary Walt And El Groupo was released on DVD, it included the untampered version of Saludios Amigos.

1st report from in hand copy. Overall I think people are going to be pretty happy though I'm sure they'll be plenty to complain about..
The censored/edited 10 seconds appear to be restored as well as the RKO opening

Sounds promising.

I ordered from an eBay seller and I should have it by Wednesday or Thursday. Much cheaper in the long run than to get stuck buying Million Dollar Duck and Monkeys Go Home and stuff like that I'll never watch.

I received Saludos Amigos/Three Caballeros on blu-ray today. Kudos to Disney for releasing Saludos Amigos in its original format without edits!

I'm assuming there's some anti-smoking message at the head of the disc?

As long as the feature is uncut, I couldn't care less.

Buy stock in tobacco companies. Hook them in the crib! Kiss a baby smoker! Pollute America's young! Pack the disc with candy cigarettes (I used to love those; never cared for the real thing).
I grew up watching all these features uncut and I never took up smoking, so I never understood the harm. Oh, well...

WILL NO ONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?

In all seriousness, I'm glad these are getting a release. It's sad that they've been relegated to DMC exclusives, though.

Now bring on Melody Time and Make Mine Music!

They could have always thrown this in as an extra, although it couldn't even save Walt Disney's life:

I complained to Disney about the lack of release of classic live-action films on blu ray and the lack of extras and bonus material on the ones they do release. We'll see if they change their ways. However, this release is very encouraging -- and the fact that it is uncensored is awesome. I'll never understand why people think they need to change history. Present it the way it was so we can learn how it was.
