Value Electronics to perform “world’s first” demo of LG’s UST projector

AV retailer Value Electronics of Scarsdale, NY, will hold the “world’s first” public demonstration of LG’s HU85LA 4K HDR ultra short throw (UST) projector, which we reported on last week. The event will be hosted at Value Electronics’ showroom, 35 Popham Road, Scarsdale, New York on Thursday, August 1st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, August 3rd from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This event will demonstrate the advancements in picture quality that LG’s latest dual laser 4K HDR capable UST projector delivers. Attendees will be treated to a true theater image quality presentation on this new lifestyle projection system without the need for a dedicated media room with controlled ambient light. Value Electronics will demonstrate LG’s HU85LA projector in two rooms to show how this leading edge 4K HDR projection system offers an advanced solution for both daytime and nighttime environments,” says Value Electronics.

LG was the Innovation Award winner at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show and the projector’s ultra short throw technology means the LG CineBeam Laser 4K can be placed just over two inches from the wall to deliver a 90-inch diagonal image, and seven inches away for a 120-inch image.

As an official partner of LG, Salamander Designs will introduce several variants of specially designed cabinets to match the low profile LG HU85LA, one of which will be on display with the projector at the Scarsdale location.

If you decide to go, you’ll get a chance to meet LG executives and industry experts who, in turn, will present demo clips from 4K HDR Blu-ray titles. So, if you’re in the area and you’d like to attend one of the sessions, get in touch with VE by RSVP’ing to [email protected]. The company is inviting the public (“video enthusiasts and movie lovers”), as well as industry pros.
