VIZIO Introduces Premium Home Theater Sound Systems with Atmos

VIZIO has announced availability and pricing of new 2018 ‘Home Theater Sound Systems with Dolby Atmos’. The VIZIO Home Theater Sound Systems with Dolby Atmos are available in three configurations and will feature independent upward-firing speakers enabling up to 10 channels of sound ‘from every direction.’ The VIZIO 36” 5.1.2 Home Theater Sound System with Dolby Atmos is available now at Best Buy, Costco and Sam’s Club for an MSRP of $499.99, while the 46” 5.1.4 and 46” 3.1.2 models will be available at retailers including Amazon.com, Best Buy and Walmart later this year with respective MSRPs of $999.99 and $799.99.

VIZIO goes on to say that the new line is engineered ‘to delight demanding audiophiles,’ and each system performs from the main sound bar’s left and right channels for a ‘wide-ranging’ sound stage. A separate center channel creates will do the dialogue heavy-lifting, while a wireless subwoofer produces bass. Select models will also feature rear surround and upward-firing speakers, the latter for overhead sky-based effects. The company also says that the new soundbar-based systems boast simple, plug-and-play solutions (without the need for additional components such receivers, amplifiers or other cables), and that the collection yields cinematic sound ‘within minutes.’ The three configuration options are designed to complement a variety of television and room sizes, and employ sleek, industrial profiles to achieve ‘a clutter-free atmosphere and aesthetic.’

The products include Google Chromecast built-in, and music can be streamed from Google Play Music, iHeartRadio, Pandora and Spotify. By tapping the Cast button or by downloading the free VIZIO SmartCast Mobile app, users can transform devices into a touchscreen remotes to stream music directly to their VIZIO sound systems or sound bars, and each system will ship with a dedicated remote control. Voice control is via Google Assistant.
