The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Best Buy, this week, has no new release titles advertised in its flyer.

–Best Buy wants you to know that you can pre-order an EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK version of Aquaman (in either 4k/UHD or Blu-ray) from them.

–In typical vague fashion of late, Best Buy shows a bunch of recent releases and advertises them as “Starting at $19.99.”  Titles shown are:

4k/UHD:  The Batman Trilogy, Suicide Squad, Man of Steel, Constantine: City of Demons, Superman: The Movie, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis

Blu-ray:  Batman: The Complete Animated Series, The Death of Superman

–And, without even listing a “Starting at” price, Best Buy is advertising a series of Disney Blu-rays for sale:  Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Incredibles 2, Ant-man and the Wasp, Christopher Robin, Coco, Wrinkle in Time, PIXAR Shorts: Vol. 3, Solo: A SW Story, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Black Panther.

–Best Buy’s Weekly Ad is available at THIS LINK.

–Target (in its 12-23-18 Sunday flyer) has the following recent Blu-ray releases advertised on sale:

$19.99:  The Predator

$22.99:  Smallfoot, Equalizer 2, Venom, The House With a Clock In its Walls

And Happy New Year!

This is, historically, that time of year when the worst movies of the current year are released. Enjoy! :D

It is also that time of year when I give myself a week off since pickins' are slim and things are quiet.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best in 2019!

Thank you, Mike, and happy holidays to everyone!

Nothing for me on Christmas. I'll get Bad Times at the El Royale in January, as it was one of my favorite films in 2018.

Can't imagine why the pickin's are so slim... :D

Merry Christmas, Mike! And thank you for another great year of release dates and prices.

I enjoyed Bad Times at the Royale a lot in theaters, but I can't see me rewatching it very much, so it doesn't quite merit a purchase.

White Boy Rick, and Night School aren't bad and I've heard good things about Bad Times at the El Royale. Even though I'm not buying any of them it could have been worse.
