The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–No Sunday flyer, again, from Best Buy in my local paper this weekend.

–Best Buy’s Weekly Ad is available at THIS LINK.

–Target this week has three recent Blu-ray releases listed on sale for $24.99 apiece:  Ralph Wrecks the Internet, The Little Mermaid, A Star is Born (2018).

Thank you, Mike!

After spending $64 last week on the two Disney releases combined, I'm taking this week off.

Free Solo was the cinematic experience of the year last year, but it really needs a Blu-ray release. The stunning cinematography in that film simply will not be served as well by standard definition. I've heard it's going to get a Blu-ray internationally, so I'm going to hold off until that comes out and see if it is region free or not rather than buying the DVD now. In the meantime, anybody interested in seeing Free Solo can record it on National Geographic Channel tomorrow night (Sunday 3/3.)

I also really liked Creed II but don't need to spend $24.99 for it. And The Favourite was good, but I don't need that right now either.

Bet you're wrong. ;-) Thanks, as always, for the great work on the list, Mike. In days past, you got the best deals during release week. Now, you are just going to get hosed, and thanks to Disney now owning about everything, you can count on waiting six months to a year after release to get a reasonable price on a physical copy. When the price hits $10-$15, I purchase. Until then...

Thanks for the prices, Mike.

I'll sooner or later be adding Phantom Lady, The Favourite, and Creed II to the stack, but I can play the waiting game while I watch some of the other things I have purchased in the last month or two.

Thanks as always, Mike!

Creed II
eventually for me, but like others I can wait for a price drop.

Just a heads up for anybody on the fence: Instant Family was way better than I thought it would be. One of my unexpected favorite movies of 2018. A lot of stupid humor, as promised by the trailers and promos. But there's a lot of interesting things at play with the family dynamics that I didn't see coming. Isabela Moner is phenomenal as Lizzy, the oldest foster child.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike!

I'm excited to get The Phantom Lady this week. I think it is great that Arrow added the Lux Radio Theatre version as an extra, and it will be interesting to see what Alan K. Rode wrote in the booklet that comes with it.

Since Warner Bros. is the home entertainment distributor for Creed II, I'm kind of surprised they haven't released a 2-pack with the first Creed film, which they also distributed. I would be in the market for that if they did.

Thanks, and ugh. Got Grindlewald, Mary Poppins and Aquaman on my list for this month. Guess I'll be doing a lot of driving.

If your were going to order Amazon shipping, why not order from the numerous other online sites for shipping -- their packaging or release day delivery (or not) service can't be much worse than Amazon standard lately. BestBuy has all 3 and will surely be the same price as everyone else by the time the smoke clears plus Preorder price guarantee and post release day price protection that Amazon abandoned long again. Plus the 3D release in you prefer those for 1 and 3

I just wanted to let people know that Captain America The First Avenger was released on UHD 4K last week and wasn't in the roundup. I was at Best Buy this morning and they had copies of the release all over the store. Their website says it was released 2/26/19 the release isn't listed on Amazon.

My BB had a ton last Tuesday when I got mine. It's caught up in the Amazon/Disney fight online.
