The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Another week of Twilight Time releases.  Pre-order HERE and HERE.

–I could NOT find a Best Buy flyer in my travels this morning around the area in which I live (near Albany, NY).  As has been noted in the past, there are a variety of possible reasons for this.  Sometimes they don’t print flyers.  Sometimes they are only regionally distributed.  Sometimes they are delayed for early editions.  Among other reasons.

I included the prices of some Blu-rays at BB that were posted by a reputable source (Tyrok) at cheapassgamer.com.  But other than that, info online is also scarce.  If I come up with a flyer later this weekend, I will be sure to add the info to this post.

–Best Buy Odds and Ends:  None to report.

–Target this week has “Disney” and “Harry Potter” Sales (and Rogue One):

$7.00:  HP & the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (DVD)

$10.00:  HP & Sorcerer’s Stone (Blu), HP & Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Blu)

$15.00:  Finding Dory (DVD), Snow White (DVD), Insie Out (DVD)

$19.00:  Moana (Blu), Pinocchio (Blu), Beauty & the Beast (Blu), Zootopia (DVD), Frozen (Blu), Big Hero 6 (Blu), The Good Dinosaur (Blu), Tangled 3-D (Blu)

$19.99:  Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (DVD)

$22.99:  Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (Blu)

$24.99:  Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Blu)

$27.99:  Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (4k UHD Blu)

$69.99:  Complete HP Collection (8-film set) (Blu)

–Target is also advertising lists of films @ $4, $10 and $13 pricepoints.  Titles shown are (all DVD unless otherwise noted):

$13.00:  Sing (Blu), Trolls (Blu), Hop (Blu), Secret Life of Pets (Blu), Passengers (Blu), SW: The Force Awakens, Doctor Strange, Arrival, Storks

$10.00:  Ghostbusters (2016) (Blu), Trolls, Sing, It’s the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, The Magnificent Seven, Miracles from Heaven, Inferno

$7.00:  Annie, Peter Rabbit: Spring Into Adventure, Charlotte’s Web, Rio, Ice Age: Great Egg Scapade, The Lorax, The Land Before Time, Dora’s Easter Adventure, Space Jam, Wizard of Oz

–Target Odds and Ends: None to report.

Hellooooooooooooo RoundUppers!

Can't find much Best Buy information yet for the upcoming week. But if I get my hands on some, I'll be sure to update things here.

A few nice new and catalog releases this week. Enjoy the films!

Safe shopping!

Nice, an early RoundUp. Thanks, Mike.

The Hidden Figures 4K disc is on its way to me from the earlier 3 for 2 Target sale. I also want to pick up How to Steal a Million and 36 Hours intrigues me, but I'm not familiar with it.

At some point, I'll grab Silicon Valley: S3 and Veep: S5 (which had one of the funniest and most profane lines I've ever heard).

Hidden Figures is a solid crowd pleaser and well worth watching.

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

Thanks for your work, Mike!

I loved Lion in the theater and will pick it up down the road, but I'm still taking a bit of a break after March was so expensive. I can comfortably wait for a price drop on Lion later in the year, which I'm sure will come. I would, however, recommend a rental for anybody who missed it in the theater.

Hidden Figures was worth seeing once, but I feel no need to own it.

I've been informed by Fox that the UHD review copy of Hidden Figures is on its way. I have put in for a couple other of this week's releases, too, but I haven't received them either.

Thanks for the RoundUp!

I don't see Year of the Comet on either Screen Archives or Twilight Times site. Was this pulled?

**EDIT: I just saw the post in the Twilight Time thread about this being a few weeks delayed.

Me too, Jake. I'm a big fan of its cinematography. I also recommend people check out.

According to BBY employees, there are 6-10 weeks a year planned that BBY won't have fliers for the normal Sunday papers and those weeks will be online only. I think they started this sometime last year. I assume this is one of those weeks. I'm think it's one of those things they're evaluating if it makes a difference in weekly sales and will expand/eliminate depending on results. I will assume that Easter Holiday weekend will have a normal flyer

I didn't notice when scanning the Roundup earlier that The Crucible is finally getting a Blu-ray upgrade this week. I'll pick that up down the road.

Thanks, Bryan.

I didn't even get a Best Buy ad in today's paper delivered to my home. And I checked in a few convenience stores tonight. Must've been one of those regional things this week and we didn't get any.
I get the Sunday paper delivered and haven't received the BB ad for several weeks now. I've pretty much been used to checking the website from the email Treet they send me to check out the latest ad...

When I go to the B&M they have copies of the ad in a stand at the front of the store... but sometimes the ads are so oblique I end up using a Kiosk at the store to check the BB website (irony rears it's ugly head) to verify what IS on sale. :(

Even more fun is that some of the ad prices are for items that are online only ...
