The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Another week of new Twilight Time releases.  You know the drill.  They can only be pre-ordered HERE and HERE.

–I went looking all over the Albany area for a paper today which contained a Best Buy flyer.  I couldn’t find one anywhere.  Either screwy business with the paper…or it’s another funky marketing move by Best Buy.  I don’t know.  But I stole some Blu-ray prices on this week’s new releases from other places on the ‘net–something I really don’t like to do.

–So, without a BB flyer, I’ve got no deals on catalog titles this week either.

–Best Buy Odds and Ends:  None to report.

–Target this week has an EXCLUSIVE BONUS DISC with its Blu-ray copies of Divergent: Allegiant.  Contains more than 30 minutes of bonus content.

–Target is also advertising a series of titles this week which contain movie tickets from Fandango:

$7.50:  DVD of ID4 (with up to $7.50 movie ticket for ID: Resurgence)

$8.00:  DVD of The Bourne Legacy (with up to $8 movie ticket for Jason Bourne)

$9.99:  Blu-ray of Ice Age: Continental Drift (with up to $7.50 movie ticket for Ice Age: Collision Course)

$12.99:  Blu-ray of Minions (with up to $8 movie ticket on the Minions Mini-Movie)

$26.99:  Blu-ray of Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection (with up to $8 movie ticket to see Star Trek: Beyond)

–You can also get a FREE $5 Target GiftCard when you buy TWO Fandango gift cards at Target this coming week.

–Target has the following titles on sale this week (all Blu-ray unless otherwise noted):

$13.00:  Creed (DVD)

$14.99:  The Choice, Ballers: S1 (DVD)

$16.99:  My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (DVD)

$19.99:  Kung Fu Panda 3, Joy, Deadpool, The Revenant, London Has Fallen, The Bourne Collection (DVD), Outlander: Season 1 Vol. 2 (DVD), Orange is the New Black: S3 (DVD)

$29.99:  Vinyl: Season 1 (DVD)

$34.99:  Vinyl: Season 1, Game of Thrones: S4
–Target Odds and Ends: None to report.

Hey everybody!

I've been neglectful in thanking everyone in advance for all the "likes" for recent RoundUps. So I'll play "catch up" right now and say a big "THANKS!"

Happy and safe shopping! :D

I enjoyed Everybody Wants Some!! but be forewarned the most it has in common with Dazed is that it features kids at a school (and even with that similarity, one is a high school and the other a college). It's clearly a Linklater movie but they're very different movies in my opinion.

And thanks for reminding me that Carnival Of Souls is coming out this week.

Thanks, Mike, for working on this as usual....but nothing for me this week.

I hate to say this because I love a lot of films that Richard Linklater has given us, but Everybody Wants Some!! is among the worst I've seen this year and I would not recommend it.

Looks like I'll be buying my 2nd 4K disc this week. Now do I watch the Blu-Ray now, or wait til I can fully appreciate it?

This will be a very good week.

I'm getting Shout Factory's The Defenders Season 1 (DVD), Kino's Invisible Invaders (Blu-ray), and Sony's MOD of Grady: The Complete Series (which, per various places, is apparently being called Grady: Season 1, even though there was only a single season). The latter isn't on the RoundUp list, but is coming out this Tuesday per Amazon's listing:
https://www.amazon.com/Grady-Season...a_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RW1DM56Z3VRB8R02TCVV

Note: Amazon's current price for Grady is $30.99, but Shop.TCM.com has it for the slightly less uncomfortable price of $26.95:
http://shop.tcm.com/grady-season-one/043396481787

If Universal's Emergency! The Complete Series was remastered, I'd grab it now, but it's supposedly the same prints used for the earlier DVDs of the individual seasons, which I already own. I may still get it eventually, since this time everything will be on single-sided discs. (Originally, Seasons 1 & 2 used were double-sided.) But for now, I'll pass.

Thanks for the list, Mike. Always appreciated!

After having no releases on my review list last week, I'm scheduled for like eight titles this week. Don't know when or if they'll come, but I should be back in the review business more consistently this week.

Thanks, Mike!

I noted Target had "The Brothers Grimsby" bluray discounted but at $14.99 discounted from $17.99 ...In the words ot BORAT ...not so much ...

Lots of discount tags in the TV on DVD/Bluray aisle but nothing stood out as exceptional ...

Prolly Divergent at some point...totally missed it in the theater.

Be warned: Miracles From Heaven made me cry in the theater. Yes, I am an old softie. And yes, I liked the movie. :)

This is exactly right. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the film. I should have my review up shortly for it. I also had the chance to interview two of the guys (Glen Powell who played Finnegan and Quinton Johnson who played Dale) that I hope to have up very soon as well. I didn't realize it until today, but one of the guys was just hired to play Superman on the Supergirl show (which is moving to the CW I think).

It appears that Warner Archive is having problems with another title - Silk Stockings.

Like Victor Victoria last month, many of the online retailers do not have stock on Release day.

Amazon is listing SS as available in 1 to 2 months

Has anyone received a shipping notice? Or know anything about the status?
