The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Best Buy, this week, has EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK PACKAGING with their Blu AND 4k/UHD versions of Ready Player One.  Prices not listed, but they “Start at $29.99.”  I’d guess that’s the Blu Steelbook.

–Best Buy also has a “Two for $30” deal going on 4k/UHD movies.  The only movies shown however, are all eight of the Harry Potter films.

–Best Buy’s Weekly Ad is available at THIS LINK.

–Target this week has EXCLUSIVE RELEASES of Ready Player Go in BOTH Blu-ray and 4k/UHD releases.  No pricing premium for these editions which include both lenticular packaging and 20+ minutes of bonus content.

–Target is also advertising an offer to get $5 on Atom Tickets to see Mission: Impossible – Fallout when you buy ANY Mission: Impossible movie.  The Target ad shows Blu-ray M:I movies and TV seasons for $8.

–And, Target has the following Blu-ray releases on sale:

$9.99:  Malificent

$19.99:  A Quiet Place, A Wrinkle in Time, Beauty and the Beast (2017), I Feel Pretty

$24.99:  Rampage

Hey RoundUppers!

Safe shopping!

A Matter of Life and Death for me this week (at Barnes and Noble, natch!). I might consider the two IMAX UHD releases and the PBS release on Ted Williams (which I haven't seen). But all in all, mostly a quiet week for me.

Thanks as always, Mike!

I've got A Matter of Life and Death preordered from Barnes & Noble. That's it for me this week, though I'll pick up Supergirl at the next WBShop 3 for $33 sale. I'm going to Redbox Ready Player One on Blu-Ray. If I like it, I'll pick it up on sale down the road. It was completed as a 2K digital intermediate, and I'm not equipped for Atmos, so no reason to pay the premium for the 4K UHD release.

Ready Player One 3D has already arrived.

Might look into the National Parks disc, and A Matter of Life & Death.

I keep forgetting I even saw Ready Player One. It made no lasting impression on me.

Nothing for me this week. Thank you, Mike!

Ready Player One was fairly forgettable but, it has so many throwaway pop-culture references in the background, it might be fun to freeze-frame through it someday when the price comes way, way down.

Are you sure about “X-Files Season 11”? The Amazon page just says it’s not out yet and doesn’t offer any release date. I know it’s out in the UK this week...

Ready Player One both 3D and 4K. A terrifically entertaining film and one of Spielberg’s best. It truly is awesome!

Like others, I've already pre-ordered A Matter of Life and Death, and there are several other releases this week which pique my interest.

Thanks for the RoundUp!

Ready Player One hasn’t budged off a $30 price point so Incancelled the preorder. I’ll circle back with it at some point.

Apparently the only 4k films offered at 2 for $30 are the HP films

Amazon has Ready Player One in just 3D and a digital copy for $48, which is on the way to me. Best Buy is advertising it in Blu-ray and 3D for $29.99. I’m thinking I should order the Best Buy version and return the Amazon one when it arrives. That’s a lot for a digital copy.
