Hello.
I hope I can find a solution here for my weird problem.
Sometimes, when I watch blu-rays/UHDs in a 5.1 set up, the center speaker suddenly lowers volume in some spots.
I can almost hear no dialogue.
Usually it does this in 2-3 places in one movie, but now I was watching ARMAGEDDON and it did it often in the 16 minutes I played (usually in the spots where there is high activity in the other speakers).
I ran a test, that I read in another forum.
I plugged in the center speaker position one of the other speakers, and the dialogue sounded just fine.
So, what does that mean? Do I have a bad center speaker?
The thing is that when I watch old movies in mono, where the sound comes from only the center speaker, I don't have any problem at all.
The problem appears only when I watch movies in 5.1.
I tried different settings eg. choosing "auto surround" or "direct" and the problem persists.
Does anyone have any idea?
I'd appreciate any help.
