Just a follow-up for anyone who might have the same question I had regarding the difference between ARC and DiracLive. On my system, DiracLive seemed to soften or numb the highest frequencies in its calibration. The DiracLive calibration made a stunning difference in my room, in fact, it was the...
Asking $399.00 OBO.
I WILL SHIP at your expense. Get me your zip and I'll get a quote for you. I bought this new. We are non-smokers and I find absolutely no flaws with this unit. I rate it a 10/10 cosmetically and as a performer. It comes in all of the original packaging with the original...
So a quick follow-up. I finally got this Anthem set up in my system and ran my DiracLive. It may just be perception or excitement having jumped ahead by 15 years worth of technology, but two observations comparing the Rotel processor to this Anthem AVR. I am using the Anthem as a processor and...
@JohnRice that helps actually. Since the Anthem gives the flexibility to assign a different audio input from the Video, I wasn't sure if there was a better option than HDMI. Thanks, as always you are quick with a solution.
So, I posted in another thread that I am finally upgrading my 20 year old Rotel processor (works great but no HDMI) for a used 2016 Anthem that offers a wide variety of connection options. For video, the clear winner seems to be HDMI, but is that true for audio?
I have the option for HDMI (7...
I was seriously considering this unit to upgrade from a 20-year-old processor dating back to pre-HDMI. At the end of the day, as inexpensive as it is for what it is, I went the cheaper used route, but almost everything I have read from real-time users has been very good FWIW.
I have the MiniDsp DDRC 88A/BM unit which comes with Dirac Live. I only run a 5.2 set-up. So, as long as I am using separates, it sits between my processor and amp in the chain. If memory serves me correctly, it handles a maximum of 8 channels.
Hey guys and gals, I am a total noob to Anthem. I haven't received it yet, but I just purchased an MRX 520 to replace a Rotel RSP1066 that I purchased around 01-02, prior to HDMI (still going strong FWIW). Anyway, I am using a stand-alone MiniDSP with Dirac Live with my Rotel and was wondering...
I saw Jaws in the theater with my mom (I was about 10). Not long after that, I saw Psyco and between these two movies, I was scared to death to do anything involving water. Even using the toilet. Seriously, I asked my mom for those clear shower curtains so I could see what was coming. I grew up...
Well, Dave, that is a great question. Frankly, I don't know what the time domain integration means, or how to check that. I did do a sub distance tweak (aka a time alignment measurement) measuring the response of the subs and mains after swapping my right main with my sub moving the sub about...
So, I am able to use the DLCT using this "new to me" PC laptop and I am attaching the REW graphs of my L & R Mains with subs after Dirac Live, REW and SVS's PEQ on the app. I have some more work to do, but this set-up is producing the best sound my system has produced to date.
My pre-pro Rotel RSP-1066 is really dated. I bought it new around 02 or 03. No HDMI at all.
So, if I decided to go with a new pre-pro or AVR and I set a budget of $700. I need at least 5.1 pre-outs and 4 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI out, 4K capable.
I see an Emotiva MC-700 that is in range, and a...
