Without knowing when the change was made I can only speak of my own experience as you have spoken of yours. I never had a problem redeeming WB digital codes until about December 2022 when I read on the forum someone had a problem redeeming a code . I bought the 50 film blu ray Warner Bros 90th Anniversary set at the end of December 2016. The digital code expired January 29, 2015 about 2 years after the set was released but I was able to deem code sometime in 2017. I bought a used copy of a first printing of Arrow Season 1, which had the digital code, blu rays and DVDs in 2018 and the code worked. Those are just 2 that come to mind. As has been said just redeem the digital code when you get your disc.
