What does MOD stand for?

:welcome: Welcome to the HTF, Robert!

Tony's right. And if you're not aware, Manufactured-On-Demand discs are those that are not all made ahead of time and shipped out to retailers and e-tailers for distribution. They are discs that are only made and shipped after being ordered and paid-for.

Thanks for doing these lists! :) Much appreciated (even more so now that tvshowsondvd.com is down). Just a note that Grace Under Fire is wrongly listed under 1980's - it was a 90's show all the way. Also, even though technically Family Matters started in 1989, NOBODY thinks of that as an 80's show - that was predominantly 90's alongside Step-By-Step etc on 90's TGIF and really should be on the 90's list too.

It's funny to find PEYTON PLACE listed among the sitcoms when it's actually a drama series!

Thanks!

Great to see that people actually like the lists and are making use of them.

I have moved Grace Under Fire to the 90s, not sure how it wound up in the 80s list?! The lists are organized according to the year the series debuted- Family Matters debuted in 1989 thus why its in the 80s list.

Thanks for pointing this out. Its actually listed correctly with the dramas but somehow it got mixed up with the comedies as well?! I think initially I did not know whether it was classified as a comedy or drama, then forgot to remove it from the comedy list when someone pointed out to me that it should be on the drama list.

Reel Vault recently released Season 4 of The Danny Thomas Show (after the first 3 seasons of being called Make Room For Daddy). I have a copy and I watched the first few episodes. Terrific picture and sound. A handful of episodes even have the original commercials.

Thanks for the info.

Why are they starting with season 4 and not season 1?!

Not sure. I understand the first 3 seasons with Jean Hagen are public domain, but maybe the quality isn't quite good enough for a video release. If Neil Brock is reading through this thread, he can provide an explanation. He is very knowledgeable on the subject of classic TV shows.

I did a little more research. A few of the early episodes are on DVD from various sources. As these are in the public domain, I don't know what the quality is like. I don't know why Reel Vault didn't start with Season 1 and I don't know how many seasons they plan to release or what they have the rights to release. Again, Neil Brock would know a lot more about this.
