I watched DU BARRY WAS A LADY last night and noticed that almost the entire film is out of registration! There are green or red halos around EVERYTHING! If the film didn't warrant Ultra-Rez, couldn't they have readjusted it manually? It looks like the misalignment is fairly consistent on how much it is off from reel to reel. I still don't think it's a very good film, but it IS a gorgeous one.

Anyone else perplexed by this title?

Each of the three-strip Technicolor titles will fall into different categories of quality dependent upon two factors:

Who at the studio requested and approved the work, and what lab did the work. Three-strip recombines can run the gamut between the superior work of say a YCM or Triage down to labs which merely function to pass film through their systems, and charge by the foot.

Sometimes one is lucky to achieve an image.

That's so unfortunate. Here are a few images direct from the DVD. Now, it might appear slight in these small screen captures, but on a large HDTV the misregistration is impossible to miss.
