Me too. BF is going to be a bit more expensive than I anticipated :)
I should have been more patient, but there are still six or so titles I can get on BF. I knew Wonder Woman would be one of them so I held out because I already seen it twice in a movie theater.:)

Yesterday I was on best Buy.com checking prices and found a 2 for $30 uhd sale. I ordered Serenity and Apollo 13 and then was offered an extra $2 off if I picked up in store. Picked them up this morning.

Walmart will have an LG 4K player for $99 on BF, but the flyer shows only one 4K disc, Cars 3 at $19.96 (and they only guarantee one copy per store). Walmart seems to have a small selection of 4K titles in stores, but apparentlty no BF push for them.

Costco will have a Samsung 4K player for $129.99, but likely few if any discs except possibly Cars 3 and maybe a couple other new releases.

I looked at their ad and its the LG870. I know the 970 (on sale now for $199) does Dolby Vision. I can't find any info about the 870 though.

On another note, I have been looking for the UHD Harry Potter Collection, and all the usual suspects seem to be out. I found it at WBShop for $139. I was able to use coupon code Wbent10 for another $10 off, plus there is free shipping.

Will the Best Buy deals be available online? I could not get to a store that day until afternoon. There are a few titles I would like.

Alternately, maybe Amazon will price match them.

Nope, but they do have the Stranger Things blu-ray set on the cover for $10.

Seems odd that all the big retailers are having specials on 4K HDTV's and 4K players, but don't want to offer any 4K discs to play on them.

I posted in the Main Stranger Things thread, but for those looking for the Stranger Things S1 Bluray at Target, there appears to be another surprise release of a 4k is similar style package (white border instead of black) with the 4K+BD combo pack.

Someone at bluray found it in store mistakenly on the shelf today for ??29.99, but the system appears to be have it scheduled for official release either 11/28 or 12/5. If your store tends to break street date by accident it might be worth checking or holding off on making a special trip to Target to get teh $10 Bluray S1

Sorry, looks like the two for $30 best buy offer changed overnight with the weekly ads.

Based on last year only during the sale time (east coast to west coast) and you won't know if it IS going to be shippable until you process your cart ... you MAY be given a site-to-store option ... Like June Allyson once advised it "Depends" ....

Free shipping until Xmas ...

Looks like as part of their countdown to Black Friday Amazon currently has Cabin in the Woods UHD for $7.88.

As a former Best Buy employee, I can tell you that not all titles will be available in all stores, and quantities will be severely limited. It is also very likely that the more popular titles may show as available at your local store, but you won't find them on the floor, as some dishonest employees *may* hide the movies they want to purchase before the store opens for the Black Friday sale. We used to find all kinds of Doorbuster items inside refrigerators and ovens the week leading up to Black Friday, although some were placed there by customers, either to later shoplift or purchase when they became Doorbusters. The better GM's keep most of those items under lock and key until BF ad-set Wednesday night (after close) and Thursday afternoon.

The UP870 is a newer, lower cost budget unit that only supports HDR10 and has only one HDMI output. The consensus on UHD Blu-ray players is to use connect directly to the display to eliminate or reduce handshake issues, so this would not be a good choice for a home theater setup, but OK for a guest room with a soundbar. I read many reviews of the UP970 when deciding on which player to get for my second HT room, and the main consensus on that model was that it was overly noisy and rather clunky. I imagine the 870 would be about the same if not worse. NewEgg currently has it for $120, Amazon for $139.70 (fulfilled by, sold by a third party). I decided to stick with the Sony UBP-X800, despite its then-buggy issues that have mostly been resolved with recent firmware issues, plus it is more of a universal disc player, as it supports DVD-Audio and SACD, something you will only find on higher priced units like Oppo.
